To Gov. Maura Healy, Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Local Boards of Health;

WHEREAS, children are at no significant risk from SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19), (1)

WHEREAS, no medical intervention is without risk,

WHEREAS, in an analysis of the risk-to-benefit ratio, there is more risk to being vaccinated for COVID-19 than not being vaccinated for children, (2)

WHEREAS, as of December 2024, in the age group 6 months to 17 years in the United States, there were 72,473 reports to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) after COVID-19 vaccination; 201 deaths, 686 cases of permanent disability, and 1,549 cases of myocarditis have been reported to VAERS, (3)

WHEREAS, the countries of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Finland, Iceland, Germany, and the United Kingdom do not recommend COVID-19 vaccines for healthy children,

WHEREAS, Florida’s Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, announced in March of 2022 that the state of Florida no longer recommends COVID-19 vaccines for healthy children and also stated the following in a January 2024 press release: “If the risks of DNA integration have not been assessed for mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, these vaccines are not appropriate for use in human beings.” (4) (5)

We the undersigned hereby urge Governor Maura Healy, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and all local boards of health to end their recommendation for all children 6 months to 17 years to receive the COVID-19 vaccines and cease all activity in promotion, purchasing, distribution, and administration of the COVID-19 vaccine to children.
