Workshop Description:

This hands-on workshop will start with a brief presentation about the federal Freedom of Information Act and state open records laws. Then we’ll discuss how to think through, write, and submit an effective open records request. Finally, we’ll brainstorm potentially fruitful areas of inquiry, and draft and start submitting requests.

Please bring a laptop if you can. Also, bring your ideas about agencies and areas for investigation!
